This course gives candidates the ability to take possessions, worksites, occupations and protect staff while working on London Trams infrastructure. TPS (Tramway Possession Supervisor) and TWS (Tramway Worksite Supervisor) are two separate competencies however both roles are covered in this course.

This course is run once a month with the course lasting 1 day from 8am-4pm. The course is held in Transport for London, Tramlink House, 11 Coomber Way, Croydon, CR0 4TQ. The pre-requisites for this course include the completion of a registration form, provision of valid TSA, valid safety critical medical, and a passport style photo. The total cost is £492 with VAT included.

Once the course has been completed a successful candidate must enter a mentoring period with an approved TPS/TWS and submit their mentoring pack to the London Trams Training and Competency Manager for approval, only once approved will the competency be issued. The competency will last for 2 years. Mentoring must be arranged by the individual and/or their responsible manager.
