IMPORTANT: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Step into Rail event has been rescheduled to Thursday 21 October 2021. Anyone having registered for the earlier event will be automatically registered for October 2021, and will be contacted with further details.
Step into Rail is an annual one-day event held by the National Training Academy for Rail (NTAR) at their purpose built training facility in Northampton.
Now in its 4th year, the next one-day event will be held on Thursday 21 Oct 2021. The day is designed specifically for Ex-Forces personnel and will illustrate how valuable military skills and experiences can be translated for roles within the Rail industry.
The main focus of the day will be engineering, telecoms and signalling, however, NTAR is also able to showcase other roles that require a range of skill sets, suitable for recruits from all ranks.
NTAR would like to thank all delegates and support partner organisations who have helped make the previous Step into Rail events such a great success – and a much anticipated date in the NTAR calendar.
With no cost to attend, Step into Rail offers a full agenda with great networking, case studies of how others have made the journey into industry, and the chance to explore how military gained knowledge can be applied to careers within rail.
Supported by the CTP and the Officers Association, it’s a day not to be missed.
Our Level 3 qualifications, which qualify for ELCAS funding, will enable Ex-forces personnel to gain a rail specific qualification before they start working in industry.
