
The Railway Industry Association (RIA) and Women in Rail (WR) have launched a Charter to champion equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK railway industry. The joint ‘Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Charter’ is a commitment to work together to build a more balanced higher performing sector and has been backed by over 100 organisations.
On Thursday 9th July NTAR hosted the Annual Apprenticeship Awards… virtually! Despite the circumstances, this year, NTAR was still able to celebrate talent within the rail industry by hosting an online awards ceremony.

Mission Room announces a new partnership with NTAR (National Training Academy for Rail).
The provision of award-winning Mission Room 360° technology will enable NTAR to integrate shared virtual reality and provide more immersive training methods to enhance their already excellent delivery options.
The collaboration will facilitate an innovative approach to training delivery and support the continual development of future immersive training solutions.
NTAR has been working with the Rail industry to develop a portfolio of training which will assist Ex-Forces personnel into a second career in the Rail industry. The qualifications allow Ex-Forces to utilise their transferable skills and attributes gained whilst serving. Developed by NTAR and accredited by EAL – the qualifications are eligible for ELCAS funding and are accredited at Level 3.
