  • Adam Wallbank | Head of Governance and Business Development

From October 2020, I am excited to be taking on the role of Head of Governance and Business Development.

Having started my career as an engineering apprentice in the power transmission industry and completing an HND in electrical engineering, I began working for Siemens in 2000. I have worked as an engineer in signalling design, and then as a senior engineer responsible for design risk safety. Prior to embarking on my railway journey I spent a number of years as a Project Manager.

In 2007 I completed a Siemens sponsored degree in Learning & Development, which led to a Training Manager’s role looking after telecoms and SCADA and more recently signalling. I am proud to have recruited loads of graduates and apprentices and expanding the training function.

  • Jonathan Styles | Head of Administration and Facilities

Following a 22 year career in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer, in 2009, I found my first role outside of the Forces as a Facilities Manager. I worked for a local company, but strived for something more and that’s when I came across the Rail Industry.

My role as Head of Administration and Facilities (RaisE) feeds my passion for education and knowledge. Having been an apprentice, and re-trained at a later age, I feel I have an affinity with my position and the team’s ethos. I support the Education & Skills function by heading up the team who plan, book and collate feedback on training throughout the country, to ensure excellent customer experience. I am dedicated to continuous improvement and streamlining procedures, to improve the working environment.
